THE extensive network of local areas and groups is the bedrock of the ramblers' work for walkers. Local volunteers do practical and campaigning work on access, footpaths, countryside protection, establishing and publicising walking routes, helping walkers with special needs and providing a year-round programme of group walks.
You can join the ramblers' simply to support the work for walkers, but you are also more than welcome to join in local activities.

Listed below are the dates, starting point, map reference, starting time and distance for all the free, circular gu
ided walks in this area for the week beginning Thursday August 28.

This also includes evening walks. If you would like to join any of them just turn up at the starting point wearing stout shoes, with some weatherproof clothing, a drink and, if the walk is more than about five miles, a packed lunch.

Then, whether you are an RA member or not, you will be made very welcome.
