Rachel Dyson from Woldgate College, Pocklington, has been working with Hutton Cranswick community primary school reception children during a Stepping Stones Music event funded by Sure Start, the Government programme to deliver the best start in life for every child.
The organisation brings together early education, childcare, health and family support and the children enjoyed a fun-filled feast of music and movement.

Rachel said the idea of the course, being delivered to the school over eight weeks, is to train teachers how to teach using music.

She said: "It's an early years course which gets music going and children developing their own musicality. They've just had their second session - they were really confident."
