Watton extension approved

PLANS for an extension to a house in Watton have been given the go-ahead by East Riding councillors this week.
The proposals for the site at Rosa Gabina, Main Street, were approved by members of the council's eastern area planning sub-committee on Monday.
The scheme allowed for an amended single-storey lounge extension to be built, plus a side and rear extension after the demolition of existing outbuildings.
Members voted to follow officers' recommendations to approve the scheme, subject to an archaeological condition.
The decision came despite fierce local opposition amid fears over loss of parking and over-development of the site.
