A GREEN-fingered couple have been winning gold for Hutton with their prize plants.
Jeff and Anne Pinder, of Hutton Hostas, a nursery specialising in a large variety of hosta plants, have returned from the Devon County Show after winning a gold medal for their display.

Hostas are perennial multi-coloured leaf plants which Mr Pinder says are firm favourites with plant lovers.

"There are a lot of specialist varieties which we specialise in, particularly miniature ones so we do most of the big country shows including Driffield Show. We go all over the country, from Scotland to the South West."

The couple have scooped four major awards to date, including platinum at the Kent Garden Show and gold at the Bath Spring Flower Show, the Yorkshire Garden Show at Lotherton Hall and now the County Show in Devon.
