HUTTON Cranswick Tennis Club's Men's B team was only formed this year, but in their 'rookie' season the team has swept to promotion from Division 7 as undefeated league champions with a game to spare.
With a side comprising some senior ex-first team players plus some new younger players hoping to progress through the ranks, they have played as well as any of the established teams.

The team consisted of Brett Morgan (cpt), Mick Foster, Mike Binks, John Cutts, Peter Savage, Daniel Rowley, Ben Withers and Jamie Hardy and competed consistently all season. Mike Binks dropped only one set all season and has been named 'Player of the Year.'

Team captain Brett Morgan was pleased with their final position.
"This was a great season for us and for Hutton Cranswick to expand our number of teams within the league, and taste success, being able to encourage players to join the club" he said.

"The team is now looking forward to playing next year in a higher league."
