After playing some good football at the recent Driffield tournament but being unable to find the back of the net there, Hutton Cranswick Tigers U11s showed a good Bridlington crowd what they are really all about.
The format for this very well organised tournament was a league format of six very strong teams, which included both Bridlington A and B teams who between them have just cleaned up all the honours in the East Riding League and both looked full of confidence for this big day.

The first game was a well fought win for the Tigers against Cayton Corinthians who are always a tough nut to crack.

The next opponents were Tickton AFC who had beaten the Tigers at the Driffield tournament 1-0 although it has to be said that was a result totally against the run of play with the Tigers having dominated the game. This time Cranswick dominated again but managed to find the net more easily and ran out worthy 6-0 winners.

With confidence running high and the Tigers playing some lovely football, Hunmanby were the next challengers. Again Cranswick produced some quality football and although Hunmanby did manage to score a goal it was another comfortable win for the Tigers 2-1.

Old rivals Bridlington Eagles came up next and although these two teams haven't met for a couple of seasons tensions were high. It is usually a tight affair with these both well organised sides. However on this occasion Cranswick never looked in any danger, they looked sharp and hungry and although Bridlington were a strong physical team it was a very one sided affair ending in a 2-0 win for Cranswick.

The last game was against East Riding Cup winners Bridlington Warriors although Cranswick knew that unless they lost this last game heavily the tournament was in the bag.

The Tigers played some exhibition football and looked as if they could have knocked the ball around all afternoon. The game ended in another 2-0 win for Cranswick, leaving the Tigers very worthy champions.

The Tigers looked a class above all the teams on the day and looked worthy of their place in the Myton League again next season, the premiership of the Hull Boys league.
