THE Hull and East Yorkshire Credit Union (HEYCU) is owned by and run for the benefit of local people and the Driffield Branch has taken this one step further by raising funds for the local community.
The proceeds of a quiz and a tombola raised £110 for the charity NCH.
HEYCU volunteer Colin Walker is pictured handing over a cheque to Beverley Moriarty, senior project worker and Jacqui Bimson, administrator at Driffield's NCH office.

Word is spreading that the Credit Union is a great place to obtain low-cost credit on terms that everyone can afford, and without the hidden charges and penalties that often apply with other lenders.

In the last year alone HEYCU has issued nearly 2,000 loans, as well as easy and safe ways to save for its 5,000 members.

Savers include pupils in several schools in the Driffield area. Colin Walker, joint schools co-ordinator, stated that 'our main aim is to encourage the saving habit among young people'.

For more details please telephone Colin on (01377) 256766.
