DRIFFIELD Photographic Society enjoyed a successful exhibition at the Bell Hotel, Driffield.
The society, which was founded in 1950, displayed 155 of the best photos taken by members over the year for the public to view.

Chairman of the society, Tom Reardon, said: "It went very well. We had a fair amount of people here and we got the impression they thought it was an excellent selection of photos."

He thanked Rita and George at the Bell Hotel for the use of the Maple Room.

The society, which has around 40 members, has released its timetable for the forthcoming year which starts on September 1 with a welcome back night in which members will share photos taken during the summer.

All types of cameras are used by members from compact cameras to digital single lens reflex cameras.

Anyone interested in joining the Driffield Photographic Society, which meets on Monday evenings from 7.30pm in the Maple Room, can telephone (01377) 272283 or visit www.driffieldphotographicsociety.co.uk for more information.
