DRIFFIELD Photographic Society is gearing up for the season ahead with a packed programme of events.
The summer exhibition will run from 10am to 7pm on Friday August 1 and from 11am to 6pm on Saturday August 2 in the Maple Room at The Bell Hotel.

The exhibition will feature work by club members from last season and will include more than 150 prin
ts and continuous projected digital picture shows throughout both days.

Throughout the exhibition, club members will be on hand to discuss the club's activities and offer help and advice on both digital and conventional photography.

The new season starts at 7.30pm on September 1 with a welcome back night, giving members the chance to discuss any interesting pictures taken over the summer.

A club night will be held on September 8 and guest speaker Mervin, an experienced photographer and amateur biologist from Beverley, will present an evening of natural history photography on September 15.
Mike Barnard, of Bridlington, will be popping in on September 22 to give a talk about digital photography for beginners.

The Projects Trophy will be presented on September 29 and will be judged by members on the night who will be looking at photographs taken on the club's summer outings.
