DRIFFIELD'S Marie Curie Cancer Care support group have raised £454 by holding a coffee morning.
coffee morning, which included stalls selling a range of items such as cakes, plants and greetings cards, was hosted by Maureen Moore who welcomed people into her home on Piper Road, Hutton.
Mrs Moore said: "It went very well and I would like to thank friends, family, people in the support group and neighbours for their help and continued support."
The funds raised, which, according to Mrs Moore beat the amount collected at the coffee morning last year, will go towards helping Marie Curie Cancer Care continue providing support to terminally ill patients.
