Somebody went home dry - but it wasn't me

I was in a shop in Driffield looking for a bag for my son. I had decided to leave my umbrella in their small porchway at the front because it was wet - I even asked to shop owner to keep an eye on it for me, but when I went outside it had gone.
I couldn't believe it. It is quite distinctive, medium sized, black but with a hooked wooden/brass handle.

I will be looking out for it.

Somebody went home dry, but it wasn't me.
