REGARDING the recently published Hull and East Riding attractions leaflet. There are 53 entries - none for Driffield.
This tourist information leaflet, produced in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and sponsored by the regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, obviously thinks Driffield hasn't any attractions.

It is always possible, of course, that the Capital of the Wolds is waiting to win the title most congested supermarket town of the future, provided visitors can find the two proposed sites which are bottlenecked behind residential housing.

These sites have been voted for by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for developers who do not live near these sites, against the concerns of forward thinking residents over safety, logistics and the character of their town.

Who said: 'It is the best opportunity we have to put the Great back into Driffield'.

Don't make me laugh. Greed is making a joke of Driffield.

L Hughes, of Exchange Street, Driffield
