A 94-year-old garden enthusiast from Driffield was guest of honour at a sunflower competition and barbeque at Spellowgate Allotments on Bank Holiday Monday.
Harry Milson, a resident at The Limes in Driffield, made special sunflower mementos when he heard about the competition and was invited by the allotment association to present them, alongside the trophies.
Seven-year-old Olivia Sowersby scooped two of the three children's prizes with the tallest sunflower (9ft 11.75in ) and the biggest sunflower head (12 .5inches).

Mr Milson said: 'The organisers of this allotment should be very proud. I am very impressed with what you have all achieved here."

One plot holder who certainly should be proud is Mr Frank Bonner - his winning sunflower in the adult category had an amazing 55 flower heads on one plant!
