SMALL boat owners in the Driffield area will be given the chance to travel along the Driffield Navigation at a free launch day to be held next month.
The event, which has been organised by the Driffield Navigation Amenities Association and is taking place with the agreement of the Driffield Navigation Trust, is due to take place at Riverhead on Saturday August 22.

The day, which will get underway from around 10am, is designed for dinghies, canoes and other small vessels, and aims to encourage small boat owners to come along and use the waterway.

No registration fee will be charged for the craft using the Navigation that day and officials hope it will encourage more people to register to use the waterway in future.

For full details, contact the Association's membership secretary Chris Jackson on 07974 579990.
