AN RAF search and rescue helicopter was scrambled to an accident involving four motorcycles near Garton-on-the-Wolds which left two people with serious injuries.
An RAF Sea King helicopter took off from RAF Leconfield at 9.45am on Friday after receiving reports of the collision on the B1252.
Four ambulances, a doctor, and police were called to the scene shortly before 10.20am.

It is believed the bikes wer
e involved in the collision as they travelled to Driffield Showground for the Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain national rally which took place over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Six people were injured in the collision, including two people who were airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

A 47-year-old woman from Wales suffered hip and chest injuries and a man, also thought to be from Wales, suffered a back injury.

The remaining four people were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed at Garton and Sledmere to enable emergency services to deal with the incident. It was reopened at 6.50pm.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have seen the motorbikes prior to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police, tel 0845 6060222.
