An award-winning Yorkshire micro brewery has been asked to create a bespoke beer for the Yorkshire and the Humber branch of HASSRA, the Sports and Social club of the Department for Work and Pensions, the Department of Health and the Food Standards Agency.
Wold Top Brewery from Wold Newton has labelled its double award-winning Wolds Way beer with a special Skools Out label to celebrate HASSRA's 2008 Special Event at Sheffield University from September 4 to September 6.

Special Event is an annual eve
nt (bi-annual after 2008) that has been running since 1962 and brings together the 12 HASSRA regions to compete against each other in a variety of sporting and non-sporting activities.

Each region accumulates points for each event depending on their placing.

At the end of the day, all points for each region are totalled and the region with the most points is awarded the Directors Trophy.

Special Event publicity officer, Tony Musgrave, is delighted that Wold Top Brewery is supporting the event which will be attended by 600 people. "We are very fortunate to have such a great micro-brewery on our doorstep and the special label looks great," he said.

Made from the finest hops and home grown malting barley coupled with the purest, chalk-filtered Wolds water, Wold Top Brewery real ales are brewed with passion from traditional recipes.

They are available through the website www.woldtopbrewery.co.uk, farm shops, delis, hotels, pubs and off-licences throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Wold Top Brewery was the proud winner of a two-star gold award for its light, summer beer Wold Gold, at the recent Guild of Fine Food Great Taste awards.
